With Text Comp, you have the ability to easily compare two text files or directories.

It's simple to use:

1. Import and Select Files to Compare

   Start by importing the files you wish to compare from iCloud or other applications. You can also import archive files (zip, tar, gz, bz2, lzh, etc.) and unarchive them in Text Comp. The user-friendly file finder interface allows for quick file selection. You can efficiently navigate directory hierarchies using the Path bar. To choose a file or directory for comparison, simply tap on the red or blue highlighted button in the Path bar – red denotes source "1" and blue signifies source "2" for comparison in Text Comp.

2. Compare and Analyze Results

   The comparison results are presented in a 2-pane interface, enabling easy identification of differences and their locations. Additionally, you can apply partial result filtering to enhance the clarity of differences (via the four buttons at the top center of the screen or in the "Filter" options page). Moreover, beneficial features such as search and line marker (Text Comparison only) facilitate result analysis. Various options are available to customize behaviors and appearances for comparison; feel free to experiment with them according to your requirements.

   Text Comp can also compare image files, albeit with reduced functionality compared to Pixel Comp. For more detailed image comparisons, consider using Pixel Comp.

NOTICE

Internally, Text Comp processes text in Unicode format. Hence, all non-Unicode text is initially converted to Unicode format. Due to potential loss during conversion, Text Comp's comparison results may differ from those obtained by directly comparing the text in its original encoding.
